Description
A quick-setting compound having a base of white cement and white marble, specially formulated to enable it to be taken underwater without disintegrating and later become rock hard.
Purpose
To enable the underwater patching of small holes in marble pool plaster pools.

Applications
Recommended for the patching of marble pool plaster where damage to the pool plaster in small areas has occurred. Suitable Surfaces Cement-based surfaces such as concrete, marble pool plaster and cement plaster. |
Site
Work Storage Store unopened containers for a maximum of 4 months.
Surface preparation
The area to be patched should be chipped through to the shell using a heavy, sharp, steel chisel, paying particular attention to achieving clean cut edges at 90° to the plane. Finally wire-brush the area to be patched to remove all loose material.
Mixing
Mix sufficient Underwater Pool Patching powder on a clean surface with water to form stiff paste. If faster setting is necessary, warm water should be used for mixing. Mix only sufficient material for immediate use. Normal setting time approximately 5 minutes.
Application
When all is ready, put sufficient mixed paste on the back of a small rounded trowel and, protecting it with a cupped hand, take underwater and trowel firmly into the recess. Make as few passes with the trowel as possible and remove any excess material from the shoulders of the cavity on the existing pool plaster. Do not disturb for 24 hours. Coverage A patch of 200mm x 200mm requires 1 kg of Underwater Pool Patching, or 1.5m2/40 kg.
