Suitable Surfaces
For the treatment of newly plastered squash court playing walls.
Surface preparation
Rake the vertical joints of the brickwork to obtain a suitable key for the plaster. A plaster mix comprising one volume OPC, one volume clean fine river sand and three volumes clean plaster sand should be applied not thicker than 20mm. Finish plaster with a wooden float, not a steel trowel as this will bring the fines to the surface causing crazing. Also that smooth surface will not give the mechanical key needed for this treatment. Cure the palster by wetting with water twice daily for 7 days.

Weather
Avoid freezing before and during application.
Mixing
Surfaces should be clean, hard and dry at time of application.
Application
Finish plaster with a wood float. Cure plaster twice daily with a fine water spray for 1 week. Allow to dry off and scrape off any little projection of sand or cement with edge of a steel trowel. Dust clean. Prime surface with a solution of 1 volume CemBond and 3 volumes water. Allow to dry minimum 2 hours. Mix Cemcrete’s Trowel On Filler Coat using solution of 1 volume CemBond and 3 volumes water to the consistency of putty plaster. Run the filler very tightly into the pores of the plaster, making sure you do not put on an actual layer. Allow to dry until the next day. Sandpaper entire surface with medium sandpaper, back to the plaster, showing the filler only in the little holes. If the surface still shows rough unfilled areas a second coat should be trowelled in. If so, resandpaper. Dust off with a clean dry block brush or clean dry broom. Seal completed wurface with one coat of a solution of 1 volume CemBond and 3 volumes water, applied with a roller. The surface is now ready for 3 coats fo Cemcrete’s Squash Court Paint applied with a roller.
