Site Work Storage Store in a dry shed on wooden slats for a maximum of 4 months.
Weather Do not apply to exteriors if rain is expected or if there is a risk of frost.
Surface preparation Surfaces should be clean, hard and dry at the time of application. Smooth or friable surfaces should be primed with a solution of 1 volume CemBond and 5 volumes water. This same solution should be used to mix the first coat of Texturite Roughcast.
Masking Windows, doors and other adjacent surfaces should be masked using masking tape and brown paper. It is important that all coats are applied on the same day and the masking tape removed as soon as the final coat is dry.
Mixing Medium texture:- 3 volumes Texturite to 1 volume water. Fine texture: - 2,5 volumes Texturite to 1 volume water.
Application Place about 1 litre of mixture in the machine. Hold machine about 500mm from wall and spray covering about half the surface with evenly spaced blobs of Texturite. Keep machine moving while spraying. Allow first coat to dry completely, approximately 1 hour. Spray second coat, this time almost obliterating wall with evenly spaced blobs. Again allow to dry completely and apply third coat so that wall is covered. A light fourth coat ensures uniformity of texture and colour.
Curing Cure by wetting with clean water 3 times during the day following the day of application.
Coverage One 25kg bag will cover approximately 4 to 7m2 depending upon the coarseness of the texture. Less coverage is obtained on ceilings.
Packaging Supplied in 25kg non-returnable paper bags.

Important information Work from architectural feature to architectural feature. Start application on the part of the building that is in the shade. This prevents direct sunlight from drying out the product too fast. Exposed parapet walls should be properly waterproofed. It is preferable to have a capping or coping so that water runs past the wall, preventing streak-marks. Window sills should have drip lines cut underneath. Unless proper waterproofing has been done at foundation level, rising damp will occur. Ensure that the surface has even suction prior to application. Move the machine constantly during application to avoid overspray which will create ugly patches.
