As technology becomes more present in every part of our lives, there is a growing desire to return to what feels real. Design is shifting toward texture, tactility and handcrafted finishes that ground our spaces and make them feel more authentic and human.
Here is a look at the 2026 trends.
TEXTURES
In 2026 walls and floors are no longer flat surfaces but living, tactile layers. Textured surfaces invite light and shadow to move across their surface, delivering subtle movement and warmth. Even in a smooth finish, Cemcrete never appears flat or mass manufactured (or dare we say, fake). Natural mottling and gentle tonal shifts give every application a sense of life and depth. Over time our finishes develop a soft patina, settling naturally into a space and adding long-lasting character.

HANDMADE
2026 is all about the maker. Even Plascon’s 2026 Colour Forecast, titled “HAND, made”, reflects this shift toward celebrating craft and authenticity. Cemcrete’s finishes are hand mixed, hand trowelled, and hand finished. Each one carries the subtle rhythm of its maker’s movements and naturally develops tonal variation and mottling. This is what gives Cemcrete its signature “alive” quality. Design in 2026 embraces this honesty with finishes that are intentionally imperfect, quietly expressive, and deeply personal.
WARM COLOURS
Warmer, sun-baked hues continue to trend in 2026. Soft clays, taupes, and gentle browns bring natural depth to interiors and create spaces that feel grounded and calm. They form the perfect blank canvas for any interior style. Expect to see more neutrals with warm undertones, clay and terracotta shades, caramel tones, and deeper warm mahogany-inspired colours throughout 2026.
GREENS
Greens remain central to interior spaces in 2026, supported by the ongoing rise of biophilic design. Sage and olive tones bring balance and calm, reflecting the colours of natural landscapes. These hues pair beautifully with unpolished finishes, timber, stone, woven textures, and other organic materials. Cemcrete’s green-toned finishes continue to grow in popularity, and later in 2026 we will introduce a new CreteCote colour, Emerald Green. This rich, jewel-like shade adds quiet luxury and depth to both walls and floors.
TERRAZZO FLOORS
Terrazzo continues its rise as one of the most sought-after flooring trends, and 2026 marks the launch of Cemcrete’s own Terrazzo system. Applied in situ and polished to reveal curated marble chips, it offers a contemporary expression of a timeless material. With a thin profile of 8 to 13 mm and impressive durability, it delivers strength without bulk. Elegant, seamless, low maintenance, and resilient, Cemcrete Terrazzo introduces a new dimension to our range while staying true to our ethos of tactile, handcrafted finishes.
CURVES
Curved architecture and interior elements continue to grow in popularity, bringing softness and flow into modern spaces. Arches, rounded walls, sculptural niches, curved counters, and organic forms create a calm, nurturing atmosphere that aligns with the move toward more human interiors. Cemcrete finishes naturally complement curves. Because our coatings are hand applied and seamless, they move effortlessly over rounded forms without joints or interruptions. The result is a continuous, fluid finish that feels refined, sculptural, and beautifully crafted.
