Alphonse Island Lodge, Blue Safari | Seychelles
There are places in the world where the boundary between water and land dissolves so completely that you forget there was ever a line between them. Alphonse Island, a remote coral atoll in the outer Seychelles, is one of those places. It was only fitting that the pool at Alphonse Island Lodge, part of the acclaimed Blue Safari collection, should feel the same way.
Pool Quartz in the colour Seychelles was applied throughout the pool and across the surrounding beach entry area, creating one uninterrupted surface that moves from dry land into the water without a visible seam or shift. The finish is the same underfoot whether you are stepping onto the sun-warmed surround, descending the shallow beach entry, or standing in the pool itself. The line between outside and in simply disappears.

The colour Seychelles was chosen with good reason. A very light, whitish blush, almost the tone of crushed coral and pale tropical sand, it mirrors the natural palette of the island itself. In the water, it gives the pool a luminous, ethereal quality. Out of the water, it reflects the sun with a quiet warmth that never overwhelms. It is a colour that belongs here entirely.

The Pool Quartz was acid-washed to reveal the quartz aggregate beneath the surface, introducing a subtle shimmer that catches and holds the light. It is not a finish that draws attention to itself. Rather, it adds texture and movement to what might otherwise have been a flat plane, the kind of detail you feel as much as see, particularly underfoot as you wade in from the beach entry. |
Pool Quartz was developed for exactly this kind of application. A finish that performs seamlessly both in and out of water, it is built for beach-entry pools, steps, surrounds and seating, the spaces where pools meet the world around them and a continuous surface matters most.
