Set within the wild expanse of Mjejane Game Reserve, Fifty-Five Mjejane's interiors are shaped through a use of tone and surface. With architecture by Chris Sparks and interiors by Savile Row, the project's design honours the original settlers of the land and their Zulu culture, while also emphasizing luxury.

Outside, the pool is coated in PoolCrete Silver Grey, chosen for its understated elegance. The finish lends the water a cool, silvery appearance that feels clean and timeless, echoing the interior palette in a subtle, considered way.

The lodge places an emphasis on generous space and refined comfort. Six master-style indlus (bee-hive-inspired dwellings rooted in Zulu design traditions) create a distinctive living experience, offering interiors that are both inviting and naturally illuminated.
Colour Hardener Coastal Grey (Grey and White mix) was selected to anchor the floors, creating a softly mottled surface that feels light, mineral and quietly sophisticated. The blended tones introduce subtle movement and depth, avoiding flatness while maintaining a calm neutrality that responds beautifully to natural light filtering through the lodge.

On the walls, CreteCote Dew brings a gentle softness to the interiors. Its delicate texture and pale tonality diffuse light rather than reflect it, adding warmth and tactility while supporting the clean architectural lines. The result is an interior atmosphere that feels composed and serene, yet richly layered.
Fifty-Five Mjejane demonstrates how carefully selected cement-based finishes can define an entire project, creating cohesion through tone and texture.
