NAMBITI HILLS LODGE | KWAZULU-NATAL
For Nambiti Hills Lodge in the Nambiti Hills Private Game Reserve, designer Michele Throssell selected Colour Hardener in Cappuccino, a warm, earthy shade that moves away from the expected grey cement screed. The colour allows the architecture to echo the natural warmth of the surrounding bush, grounding the spaces in their landscape.

Lambswool, a custom CemWash colour, was chosen to complement the warm-toned floors. With its subtle warmth, it remains beautifully neutral while softening the overall palette. Even the stone walls were coated with textured CemWash, ensuring the raw texture remains visible while creating a cohesive finish throughout.
Durable enough for bush living yet refined enough for the interiors, these finishes sit effortlessly alongside bold patterns, layered textures, timber elements and warm hues, all reflecting and celebrating the surrounding landscape. |
