There's something undeniable about the pull of the coast, the kind of calm that settles over you when salt air meets open sky.
Our coastal Style Guide draws its palette directly from South Africa’s West Coast shoreline: warm sandy hues, sun-bleached stone, the shifting depth of the ocean, and the wild, untamed fynbos that roots itself between rock and sea. This season, we're introducing new products and new colours, a considered refresh that mirrors the effortless renewal found at the water's edge. |
BrickWash is our latest innovation in wall finishes; a single-coat, brush-on application that self-cures and can adhere directly to brick, no plaster required.
Here, we have it in Sahara, a tone that echoes the warmth of suntanned shoreline, soft and grounding against the coastal palette.
But BrickWash is more than colour, it's a canvas for texture. Its formulation lends itself naturally to pattern work, and here we've drawn inspiration from the ocean itself, modelling a fluid, wave-inspired motif across the wall. The result is a dynamic accent that feels both organic and intentional. Any pattern is possible; this is just one place to begin.

Where land meets water, Pool Quartz makes the boundary disappear. Designed for continuity, this versatile finish works both inside and outside the pool, making it the ideal choice for a beach-entry design, where the transition from deck to water feels as seamless as the tide. The surface begins smooth, but acid-washing reveals its hidden character: a sparkling quartz aggregate that catches the light like sun on water. Beyond its beauty, the texture also provides the slip-resistance that poolside living demands. We have included Pool Quartz Benguerra in this style guide, a pure white finish which becomes a natural blush tone once acid-washed. |

As a moment of stillness among the textures, CreteCote Microcement in our newly released colour, Pale Grey, offers a smooth, composed surface that lets the eye rest. Yet it's far from flat. The natural mottling of the finish creates a quiet visual depth, the kind of subtle variation you find in weathered driftwood or sea-smoothed stone. Its cool tone draws the palette inward, adding dimension and calm to the coastal scene. |
To finish the look, we welcomed two collaborators whose work feels right at home in this coastal world.
Hertex brought the softness; their fabric samples introducing warmth, layering, and that tactile quality that transforms a space from styled to lived-in. Their considered approach to colour and material proved a natural complement to the palette.
To ground it all, Wolkberg Casting Studio shared their tiles that echo the organic textures and tones running throughout this guide, a reminder that the best interiors are built from a conversation between surfaces.
Together, they complete the scene.

HERTEX
Hertex has been shaping South African interiors since 1987, when a humble Cape Town showroom quietly set the standard for quality in the industry. Nearly four decades later, they've grown into a leading supplier of fabric, wallpaper, rugs, furniture, and homeware; serving local and international markets from a network of showrooms that continues to expand. What has remained unchanged is their character. A family-run business, Hertex sources and curates with genuine care, offering interior professionals fabric and wallcoverings suited to everything from relaxed residential spaces to high-specification contract environments, alongside exclusive South African distribution of distinguished international brands. From this foundation came HAUS, a natural extension of their belief that a home should be the most inspiring place to be. A hand-picked collection of rugs, décor, linen, lighting, and furniture, designed to help you create a space that feels comfortably yours. It's this wholeness of vision that drew us to Hertex as collaborators. Like Cemcrete, they understand that the finest interiors are built from a harmony of surfaces and materials working in quiet conversation. |

WOLKBERG CASTING STUDIO
Wolkberg's tiles are made from their innovative high performance concrete , Limesite. Due to the natural quality of the materials, no two tiles are exactly alike, yet all speak the same design language, celebrating authenticity, craftsmanship, and the beauty of the material itself. Proudly South African, they are equally committed to sustainability, incorporating recycled materials and pursuing low-impact processes wherever possible. For this guide, we've brought in their Leaf tiles in cool tones, an organic form that feels completely at home in the coastal narrative. The natural shape echoes the fluid, living quality that runs throughout our inspiration, while the dimension of each tile adds a quiet but compelling point of interest to the scene. It is the shared belief, that cement is not merely a surface, but a medium for storytelling, that makes Wolkberg a natural companion to Cemcrete's own vision. |
